Character journal for AU Kurama.

Hailing from Ye Olde...Somewhere (think standard fantasy country, like a Game of Thrones-type setting - vaguely European, ruled by a royal family, very obvious class distinctions), Kurama lost his parents very young and grew up an orphan on the street. He learned to survive by stealing, and that's still his main source of income to this day - he's quick and subtle, and very rarely gets himself caught. He prefers lifting heavy purses from unsuspecting noblemen, but given half the chance, he'll steal clothes and jewels and just about anything else, as well.

He has nowhere to call home, and no friends or family. Just people he pays not to talk to the City Watch, and people he knows won't talk, because it's a better business arrangement for everyone when they don't know where Kurama gets his goods when the Watch comes asking questions. He's a talented liar and capable of extreme cruelty, and he has as many names as there are people to give his name to. He couldn't care less about anyone except himself.

Until now.

See, very recently, Kurama met a young woman named Emanuelle who claims to be his sister. And for all he knows, it could be true - they're similar enough in build, and he knows absolutely nothing about his parents, or whether or not they were faithful to each other. But she's impatient and hot-tempered and headstrong, and Kurama finds himself surprisingly taken with her - enough, at least, to take her under his wing and help her survive in the world.
